NASOLABIAL FOLDS & MARIONATTE LINES

Unfortunately as we get older naturally wrinkles and lines occur. Marionette lines are the lines that run from the corners of the moth down to the chin. Nasolabial folds are the lines that run from the corner of your nose to the corner of your mouth. These can both be reduced with the administration of dermal filler. By injecting dermal filler into the surrounding area, this will restore the lost volume and soften the appearance of these lines, leaving you with a smoother, fresher appearance.

1

Nasolabial Folds

Nasolabial Folds run from the bottom of your nose to the corners of your mouth. These are caused by general ageing, weight fluctuation, sleeping on your side and smoking.

The benefits of using Dermal Fillers: Increased collagen resulting in plumper skin, added volume to the area, and smoother and softer skin.

Marionatte Lines

Marionatte Lines run vertically between your mouth and chin, which sometimes creates sagging in the lower half of your face. These are caused by ageing, sun exposure, stress, and poor nutrition.

The benefits of using Dermal filler: Increased collagen resulting in plumper skin, added volume to the area, and smoother and softer skin.

What are the side affects and risks of Nasolabial Folds and Marionatte Lines?2022-02-17T12:34:13+00:00

Unfortunately all non-surgical treatments carry risks and side affects, however Paige has undergone intense training on how to treat any of these problems in the unlikely event that they arise. The most vital thing to remember with these treatments is that these areas are close to facial arteries. This is why it is paramount that this kind of treatment is undergone by someone like Paige, who has detailed knowledge on the anatomy of the face and safety maneuvers so that these risks are minimised as much as possible. There are common side affects usually lasting up to a maximum of 14 days, and some that are not so common.

COMMON:

  • Tenderness
  • Swelling
  • Bruising
  • Redness

UNCOMMON:

  • Allergic reaction
  • Vascular occlusion: when the dermal filler is accidentally injected directly into a blood vessel causing a blockage in blood flow and potentially leading to tissue necrosis and blindness.
  • Lumps
  • Product migration
  • Infection
  • Severe swelling
